Epic team on an epic challenge with an epic fundraising amount of €1 million raised for Cancer Fund for Children.

A day of very mixed emotions, Shay, Noel and I climbed and stood upon the top of the world, Mount Everest, 8849m. A dream fulfilled, the ordinary achieving the extraordinary.

Shay your laugh was infectious and your smile would brighten up the world wherever you roamed. Keep shining bright, your adventurous spirit lives on in our hearts and minds ♥️.

Life is a journey and I was very guarded about my experiences on Everest. Returning to Nepal to EBC was cathartic and 6 years later when the time felt right for me, being interviewed for 'Why the mountains?' podcast has allowed me share our journey to the top of the world.

Congratulations 🎊 to Niall Cribbin from Kroll, whom brought together a wonderful gathering of family and friends to support two fantastic charities Focus Ireland & Basis Point. Niall is undertaking Peak Lenin in Tajikistan 🗻🧗‍♂️ in June. He is well on target to reach his ambitious fundraising target of €50,000.

Plenty of time still to support these charities reach their goal. Go on... get in behind them😉 give a little (or a lot) today.

Such a great weekend with these amazing people preparing to climb the higest peak in every county in Ireland in 9 days. They are on target to raise over a million euros for Caner Fund for Children. The challenge takes place in June 2025.

This is a challenging enough route due to the terrain and you gain and lose height multiple times, perfect training for those who wish to build their mountain endurance legs and mindset....resilence!!

If your planning on travelling to Nepal to Everest Base Camp, it's a 13day challenge of gaining and losing height through the valleys😅. Ideal for climbing high, sleeping low, as you acclimatise.

Boots what are your thoughts?
Leather or Textile Goretex

I loved my old pair of Salomon Quest 4 GTX boots. I've had them over 5 years and have looked after them, and in turn, they have looked after me.

I popped into the great outdoors recently and was delighted to see they have salomon in stock, along with a wide range of other boots, trail shoes and summer sandals.
