Service Description
Get ready for a day of adventure, creativity, and connection! As your team arrives,we’ll kick things off with a high-energy welcome and briefing before launching into an exciting orienteering-style challenge. In this dynamic event, groups will explore the area, finding checkpoints worth varying points — the closer and easier ones get you started, but the real points (and glory!) lie in the more challenging, far-flung tasks. Strategy, teamwork, and a dash of boldness will be your guide. But the adventure doesn’t stop there! After the hunt, your points become your currency. With them, you’ll “purchase” materials for the grand finale — a creative, competitive build challenge that’s sure to spark laughter, innovation, and surprise. Whether you go minimalist or stock up on supplies, success comes from smarts, teamwork, and originality — not just the size of your haul. As the countdown ends and the test begins, all eyes turn to your team’s creation. Will it fly, roll, stand tall — or take a wild turn? Whatever the outcome, the joy is in the journey: bonding with colleagues, thinking outside the box, and celebrating everyone’s unique strengths. This is more than a team-building day. Duration: 2.5 - 3 hours Numbers: 10 + Location: Avondale, Wicklow or Ardgillan Castle, Dublin or a suitable location of your choice. Personal kit: Rain jacket, runners, water bottle. Deposit: €200.00 per group Event programme example: 10.00 am Arrive, meet the team and event brief 10.05 am Fun warm up/ice breaker games 10.20 am Orienteering brief and practice session 10.45 am Orienteering Challenge! 12.00 pm A short pause while our instructors calculate the scores in preparation for the final event. 12.15 pm "Shop Opens" - teams can buy materials for the final event with the points that they have earned while orienteering. 12.45 pm Finale & Prize giving 1.00 pm Event ends Additional Options: To enhance your event, we can arrange room hire, as well as a variety of catering options including arrival snacks, lunch, dinner, or even a BBQ. Cancellation Policy
Booking Deposit A non-refundable deposit of €200.00 is required to secure your booking. This deposit confirms your reservation and will be deducted from the final invoice. Final Numbers: Final guest numbers must be confirmed no later than 2 weeks prior to the event date. These confirmed numbers will be used to calculate your final invoice. Final Invoice & Payment: The final invoice will be issued 1 week before the event, based on the confirmed guest numbers. Full payment is due upon receipt and must be made before the event date. Cancellations: Cancellations made more than 4 weeks prior to the event will incur no further charges beyond the non-refundable deposit. Cancellations made between 2 and 4 weeks prior will be subject to a 50% charge of the total estimated invoice. Cancellations made within 2 weeks of the event will be charged in full. Changes to Guest Numbers: After final numbers have been submitted (2 weeks before the event), reductions will not be eligible for refunds. We will try to accommodate increases in guest numbers, but these must be requested in writing and are subject to availability. Force Majeure: We are not liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, weather, government restrictions, or other emergencies. Stride reserves the right to cancel or postpone an event due to unforeseen circumstances or safety. An event will only be cancelled due to weather conditions if an orange or above weather warning is issued by met eireann and the event will be rescheduled.
